If you didn’t get enough depraved behavior in the three-hour runtime of Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street, we have good some news. There is a four-hour cut of the film heading our way on home video.
Normally, since the news comes via the UK’s The Daily Mail, I would suggest that the usual caveats for British tabloids apply. However, the Mail is claiming their sources as the film’s producers Joey McFarland and Riza Aziz, having spoke to them at the Directors Guild of America Awards this past weekend. As for what to expect from this longer version, McFarland elaborated –
I think we are going to have some good surprises to be honest with you the movie is not much different in its longer form, it’s just longer versions of scenes. Nothing really got cut out so it’s a lot more of what you’ve already seen.
Riza jokingly added that the extended cut will also increase the film’s already record-breaking number of the uses of the “f-bomb.”
You figure another hour so I’d figure another 25% more! I’ve never done an F Bomb count. I am sure there’s plenty more!
There’s no scheduled date yet announced for when the multiple Oscar-nominated film will show up on DVD and blu-ray, though it is expected sometime this spring.
