Has it only been ten months since Veronica Mars creator Rob Marshall turned to Kickstarter to fund a big screen continuation of his cult favorite teen sleuth TV series after being unable to convince studio brass at Warner Brothers of the viability of his project? In that time he has managed to not only fund the film, breaking records in the process, but get it shot and ready to roll out to theaters in exactly one year and one day. Not too bad. And the first full-length trailer for the film certainly doesn’t look like it was done on the cheap or quickly either. And if the trailer is anything to judge by, it looks as if the film retains all the noir-ish mystery elements and humor and snark that were the trademarks of the series’ three-year run. Series star Kristen Bell and virtually everyone else who ever appeared in the series return on the big screen on March 14th.
