Rachel McAdams Up For Science-Fiction Romantic Drama PASSENGERS

Rachel McAdams is in talks to star opposite Keanu Reeves in the upcoming science-fiction romantic drama Passengers.

John Spaihts’ script for the project has been circulating around Hollywood for a while before finally getting some traction towards becoming an actual film earlier this year. It focuses on a crew member (Keanu Reeves) of a deep space mission who is brought out of his cryogenic sleep 90 years too early. Rather than face the rest of his life alone on the ship, he picks one other crew person (McAdams) to keep him company. Needless to say, she is initially not too amused by his actions.

Initially, director Brian Kirk had attached Reese Witherspoon to the role, but she had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict.
