Marvel Studio’s Guardians Of The Galaxy has been quietly in production for a couple of weeks now, only revealing that work was being done last weekend at San Diego Comic Con. But for those not at the show, Guardians cast member Dave Bautista, who is playing Drax the Destroyer in the comic book adaptation, has tweeted out a picture today of some filming of an underwater sequence in which he will be featured.

And here’s a closer look at Bautista in his Drax makeup, which is presumably waterproof. (Click on the picture for a larger detail.)
Guardians Of The Galaxy is set for an August 1, 2014 release.
Met Bautista on the set of Riddick last year; seemed like a pretty cool guy. Also arguably the biggest guy I’ve ever seen. I feel sorry for whatever makeup artist has to paint out those tattoos every morning.
SQUEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Bautista would have been my first choice to play “Bane” in the “Dark Knight Rises”!
