Cameron Brings On Co-Writer For AVATAR 2

JamesCameron

In the midst of overseeing pre-production on the upcoming Avatar 2, director James Cameron has been busily working on the film’s screenplay. But it looks like he has decided that he needs a hand in getting the script into final shape, as the Hollywood Reporter is stating that Cameron has hired War of the Worlds writer Josh Friedman to work on it.

Interestingly, Friedman was an executive producer on the TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which was based on the popular film franchise created by Cameron, though he had no participation in the series.

This is not the first time that Cameron has brought in a writing collaborator. For the first Avatar film, executive producer Laeta Kalogridis did some uncredited rewrites on the screenplay. Her current assignment on Cameron’s Battle Angel is probably what has prevented her from doing similar duties here.
