Casting notices have long been a source of information about upcoming films. After all, it is hard to cast an actor into a role you wish kept secret if you can’t tell casting agents what kind of actor you are looking to fill the role with.
As the upcoming Avengers: Age Of Ultron prepares to shoot this February in London, a casting call has some plot information that sheds some light on a question that many have been asking since the reveal of the film’s last week at San Diego Comic Con.
In “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” Loki is gone and the new villain will be the evil robot Ultron, who has the ability to keep upgrading his own strength, making him extremely fearsome. Tony Stark/Iron Man becomes the unwitting creator of Ultron. The brother-and-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch become the seventh and eighth members of The Avengers. Quicksilver has extreme speed, while Scarlet Witch can cast spells and has telekinesis ability. Black Widow and Hawkeye will be key figures in the film.
Now it is possible that someone at the casting agency based that synopsis on the various rumors and theories circulating around online, or perhaps they were given information about the film that they didn’t realize they shouldn’t be sharing. We should find out sometime between now and the film’s May 2015 premier.
Hmmmm….
Can you say UNDERSTATEMENT?
“Scarlet Witch can cast spells and has telekinesis ability.”
…and, you know, can completely destroy & reset reality…
