We know that next summer’s Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will be taking place several years after the franchise’s last installment, 2011″s Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. But how does the world change from the spread of the ape intelligence-boosting plague that we see released at the end of Rise to the world that director Matt Reeves will be bringing us in Dawn?
Twentieth Century Fox has announced that we will be able to see that transition in the new online comic Before The Dawn. No word yet as to who is actually writing and drawing the comic, but you can find some preview pages at apes2014.com.
And if this isn’t enough to whet your appetite for Planet Of The Apes in graphic format, I would suggest checking out the various miniseries that Boom! Comics have released over the last couple of years. Some really strong stuff that is sure to please fans.
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will open on July 18, 2014 and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, Jocko Sims, and Judy Greer.
