Tom Cruise’s ALL YOU NEED IS KILL Gets New Title

The upcoming Tom Cruise-headlining All You Need Is Kill will be hitting theaters next summer with a new title. The science fiction thriller will now be known as Edge Of Tomorrow.

Stepping back from the easy joke that the new title sounds like it was lifted from an old 1970s afternoon soap opera, Edge Of Tomorrow sounds just more generic than All You Need Is Kill.

Directed by Doug Liman and based on a book by the Hiroshi Sakurazaka, the film features Cruise as a soldier in a desperate war against invading aliens in the near future. Sent on a suicide mission with Emily Blunt, he appears to be killed but discovers that he is trapped in a time loop that sees him repeating his mission, and its premature fatal end, over and over. But each resurrection sees him returning with more skills and knowledge that gets him closer to defeating the enemy.

Joining Cruise in the cast are Bill Paxton, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong and Franz Drameh.
