It looks like we’ll be postponing our return trip to the seedy, dangerous town of Basin City.
No explanation has been given, but the release of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s noir comic book adaptation Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For has been pushed back from this October to August 2014.
There has been no official announcement from either Rodriguez or distributor Dimension Films, but Bleeding Cool spotlighted this tweet from industry source Exhibitor Relations –
Whataya hear, whataya say? SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR has been pushed to next summer, see–8/22/14. Was 10/4/13.

Rodriguez and Miller have been attempting to get Sin City 2 made for several years now, juggling schedule, script and financing issues. Still, it is better to have a movie done right than to have it done right now.
