Paramount Pictures has picked up a pitch for a found footage film titled Supermax from writer Marc Haimes. The pitch’s story line is being kept under wraps, but I don’t think we should confuse the project with the stalled-in-development Green Arrow superhero film of the same name. Mary Parent, currently overseeing the final bits of post-production of Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim as well as the beginning of shooting on Godzilla, has signed on to produce.
Hamies, who had previously worked as a development exec at DreamWorks, is currently working on the screenplay for the English language adaptation of the Norwegian Trollhunter. He also has an action film titled Jitters at Paramount.
