James McAvoy Circling THE CROW

JamesMcAvoyRelativity’s remake of the comic book adaptation The Crow has been in development for so long that it has already gone through a couple of directors and a couple of attached stars and is still nowhere near getting front of cameras. Currently, F. Javier Gutierrez is signed to direct and he is trying to find an actor to play the lead role of resurrected, revenge-seeking rock star Eric Draven.

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that that search may be coming to an end as they have learned that British actor James McAvoy is “circling” the role. Nothing is certain, but if he is interested the production will need to work around McAvoy’s schedule for his reprisal of his role as Professor Charles Xavier for X-Men: Days Of Future Past set to shoot later this spring.

Previously both directors Stephen Norrington and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo had been in talks to direct while Bradley Cooper and Mark Wahlberg have been attached before moving on. Will McAvoy be the one to finally get the project some traction?
