Mark Wahlberg’s dance card looks to be pretty full for most of this year with work on two highly anticipated sequels.
In May, the actor will report for work on Michael Bay’s Transformers 4. This will be his first appearance in the franchise, taking over the position of lead human character for this new cycle of three films from Shia LaBeouf. Wahlberg will be playing a new character, though we don’t know much about his character except for the fact that he will have a daughter who has a race car driving boyfriend.
Following Transformers, Wahlberg will report for work on Ted 2, the sequel to last summer’s hit comedy about a man and his living childhood teddy bear. But before any of this, he’ll be appearing on the Academy Awards next month with his living toy co-star, who was created and voiced by Oscar telecast host Seth MacFarlane. There is no word if MacFarlane will be back to either co-write or direct the Ted sequel.
Transformers 4 is currently scheduled for a 2014 release while Ted 2 has not been scheduled yet.
