Michael Rosenbaum Has Read For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

MichaelRosenbaumYou can’t say marvel isn’t going all out in their quest to cast the lead for their upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy feature.

Lots of names have been bandied about and as of last night we can add Michael Rosenblaum’s name to the list of potential candidates.

The former Smallville star tweeted that he read for the role yesterday for the film’s director James Gunn.

Previously, a number of actors have been rumored to be under consideration for the role including Joel Edgerton, Lee Pace, James Marsden, and most recently The Dark Knight Rises co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt. However this is the first time we’ve had an actual confirmation that an actor has met with Gunn and the studio over the job.

Guardians Of The Galaxy will start shooting later this year for an August 4, 2014 release.

I’m thinking this might be a put on. Gunn has gone on the record with his annoyance with false rumors spreading about the film. This could be having a friend of his add to the rumor as some kind of commentary on them.
