Mark Wahlberg Joins TRANFORMERS 4

Mark Wahlberg has been cast in the next Transformers film.

Director Michael Bay made the announcement on his website stating –

Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on ‘Pain and Gain’ and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy.

Bay also unveiled the film’s logo, as seen above.

Pain And Gain is Bay’s smaller scale action film based on a true story about a group of bodybuilders who are engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida. Wahlberg co-stars in it with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Transformers 4 is set to shoot next spring from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger for a June 27, 2014 release.
