Details about Zero Dark Thirty, Katheryn Bigelow’s upcoming film about Seal Team Six, have been about as classified as the commando unit’s mission to eliminate terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Right now, we know that the likes of Joel Edgerton, Jessica Chastain, Chris Pratt, Kyle Chandler, Mark Strong and Jason Clarke are in the cast, though we don’t know what parts they will be playing. The trailer for the film which was released today doesn’t seem to offer any more details on that account either.
But the real trick is for Bigelow and her Hurt Locker co-screenwriter Mark Boal to be able to find a way to tell a story that everyone already thinks they know. Or perhaps that is the key to how they are proceeding.
Zero Dark Thirty hits theaters December 19.
