SNOWTOWN MURDERS’ Justin Kurzel To Direct Le Carre Adaption

Snowtown Murders director Justin Kurzel has been hired to helm an adaption of John Le Carre’s 2010 thriller Our Kind Of Traitor. Kurzel will be working from a script by Drive screenwriter Hoss Amini which had landed on last year’s Brit List. The project is looking to get started sometime later this year.

The plot revolves around a British university professor who finds himself the go-between British Intelligence and a Russian mobster looking to trade information for protection for his family.

With the critical and awards attention that the latest adaption of Le Carre’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy received last year, it is looking as if he is one of Hollywood’s newest favorite authors, even if he has been publishing his novels for nearly five decades now. Currently there is also an adaption of his spy thriller A Most Wanted Man currently being developed for the big screen treatment. What will be the next Le Carre novel to get picked up for the big screen treatment?
