There hasn’t been much buzz about the upcoming science-fiction action flick Lockout, but I’m not sure why. Judging from it’s trailer showcasing a riot and takeover of a prison space station and the fact that it is produced by Luc Beson, it would seem fair to say that the film probably holds some solid b-movie thrills. If you’re still not convinced that the film will be solidly in the pulp cinema category, take a look at the film’s opening four minutes and forty-two seconds. It comes courtesy of the film’s European distributor, so there’s French subtitles, but they’ll come in handy if you want to learn a few swear words in French. (I.e., some of the language is NSFW.)
Lock Out opens this Friday and stars Guy Pearce, Maggie Grace and Peters Stormare.
