Lynch’s TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME And LOST HIGHWAY Coming To Blu-Ray

Director David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Lost Highway will be coming to blu-ray next February from Madman Films, the company announced on its Facebook page.

Unfortunately, there are no further details as to what extras may be on the discs, but as a Twin Peaks fan I know that I am not alone in hoping that the 40-some minutes worth of scenes that were cut from the film by New Line Cinema prior to its release.

Although it was fairly pilloried by critics when it was released, Fire Walk With Me is a tour-de-force psychological horror film that didn’t rely on its audiences needing to know anything about the television series that spawned. Fans of the series were disappointed that not all of the characters from the show made it into the film, though reportedly many of them feature in the cut footage. Lost Highway sees Lynch going further into some of the themes he was exploring with Fire Walk With Me, though many audiences had a harder time penetrating its dense, twisty narrative.
