Lucasfilm Teases Deleted Scenes On Upcoming STAR WARS Blu-Rays

Last night at the Star Wars Fan Film Awards held at the San Diego Comic-Con, Lucasfilm unveiled a short trailer teasing the deleted scenes that will be on the upcoming Star Wars blu-ray box set, available on September 16.

In the clip we can see glimpses of Luke’s original introductory scene in A New Hope, the wampa attack on the rebel base in The Empire Strikes Back and Luke constructing his new lightsaber and the sandstorm scene from Return Of The Jedi. These are all scene we’ve known about for years, and in some cases they’ve been floating around in bootleg form for a while. Hopefully, Lucasfilm will be cleaning these scenes up from their rather ragged appearance here.

Interesting how there are no prequel deleted scenes previewed here.
