San Diego Comic Con kicked off last night with it’s “preview night” and as it swings into high gear today, you can expect a torrent of news to be issuing out of the convention center over the next couple of days. One of those first pieces is the reveal of the teaser poster for Marvel Studio’ssuperhero team-up, The Avengers.
Honestly, it’s not giving us anything new. It’s just a closeup of the Avengers logo we’ve already seen. But it is another step closer to the culmination of the studio’s ambitious plan to weave their superhero franchises into one cohesive universe. The Joss Whedon directed film will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson. The film opens in 3D on May 4, 2012.
