First Trailer For Tsui Hark’s FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON INN

If you’re not familiar with the amazing visual style of Tsui Hark, then you really need to correct that deficiency in your life. Whether it be period pieces like Peking Opera Blues or Once Upon A Time In China, big epics like Zu, Warriors Of The Mystic Mountain (Xin Shu Shan Jian Ke) and Dragon Inn or dramas like Time And Tide and The Women, the man knows how to make a good movie.

Hark’s latest Flying Swords Of Dragon Inn is a remake of 1992’s Dragon Inn, which he produced, co-wrote and directed sequences for. It also marks his first foray into 3D, and even though the below trailer is  2D it looks as if he has put some thought into using the process as a way to delivery some stunning images.

Flying Swords Of Dragon Inn premiers in China and Hong Kong this December. It has not yet secured a US distributor.
