Though it may have irritated some die hard fans, Guy Ritchie’s cinematic re-invigoration of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes was well received by audiences in 2009. This December we’ll see if ticket buyers are eager for a return to Victorian London to join the Great Detective (Robert Downey Jr.) and his faithful assistant Dr. Watson (Jude Law) in their hunt for the villainous Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris). Here’s the film’s first trailer that the studio is hoping will excite folks to line up when the film is released.
