While her chance at starring as superhero Wonder Woman may have been dashed this past May when NBC passed on the series pilot she starred in, Adrianne Palocki will be getting a chance at playing a different hero in GI Joe 2: Cobra Strikes. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the Friday Night Lights star will be playing Lady Jaye in the Jon Chu directed film.
Palicki will be joining returning cast members Charming Tatum (Duke), Ray Park (Snake Eyes) and Byung-hun Lee (Storm Shadow) and new cast members Dwayne Johnson (Roadblock), Elodie Yung (Jinx), RZA (Blind Master) and D. J. Cotrona (Flint).
In the comics and cartoon, Lady Jaye is a covert operations specialist and has had a romantic relationship with fellow team member Flint.
GI Joe 2: Cobra Strikes is set to film later this year with a release scheduled for next summer.
