Michael Bay is continuing his crusade to get his latest film Transformers: Dark Of The Moon projected in a way that will ensure the 3D format of the film comes through as crisp as possible. Over the weekend, a letter from Transformers studio Paramount and signed by Bay has circulated with the director imploring projectionists to have theater projectors set to the proper brightness.
(Of course, the letter doesn’t take into account that many theater chains that have gone all digital have all but eliminated the position of projectionist, instead leaving the job of starting and stopping a film to a manager or usher or just having the projectors on a timer. But that’s a rant for another day.)
Transformers: Dark Of The Moon opens Tuesday evening.
