This past weekend, Michael Shannon was announced for the role of the Kryptonian villain General Zod for Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman franchise reboot Man Of Steel. Shannon was appearing at the RiverRun Film Festival in Winston-Salem, North Carolina last night, where he spoke briefly about the process of being cast in the film and how the offer “came out of nowhere.”
