JACK THE GIANT KILLER’S Princess Will Be Eleanor Tomlinson

Eleanor Tomlinson has landed the role of Princess Isabella in Bryan Singer’s upcoming Jack, The Giant Killer.

With only a couple of small roles in Alice In Wonderland and The Illusionist to her credit, Tomlinson certainly seems like a dark horse choice. Up until very recently she wasn’t even on the reported shortlist of actresses being considered for the role.

Singer’s film, which starts shooting later this month in London, is an updating of the classic fairy tale with Nicholas Hault as the titular hero who climbs a beanstalk to rescue Isabella from the clutches of a two-headed giant being portrayed by John Kassir and Bill Nighy. Rounding out the cast are Stanley Tucci as an evil advisor to the king and Ewan McGregor as the captain of the king’s guards.

Jack will be the first film that Singer shoots digitally and in 3D although some sections of his Superman Returns were converted to 3D in post production for the film’s IMAX release.
