EXCLUSIVE: Williamson, Grier, Roundtree And More Re-Teaming For ORIGINAL GANGSTAS Sequel

In 1996, the film Original Gangstas reunited several stars of the 70s blaxploitation era – Fred “The Hammer” Williamson, Jim Brown, Pam Grier and Richard Roundtree for an all-star action film.

While talking with Williamson this weekend at the Chiller Theater autograph show in Parsippany, NJ, he stated that a sequel to the film entitled Old School Gangstas is all set to start production in just two weeks.

“Everyone’s coming back,” he stated. “We got me, Jim Brown, Pam Grier and Richard Roundtree, plus Bernie Casey, Antonio Fargas and Gary Busey!”

If you’re thinking that Gary Busey is the odd name out on the list, it’s probably because he never appeared in any classic blaxploitation film.

“Gotta have someone to kill,” laughs Williamson when asked about Busey’s inclusion. “I can’t kill my boys!”

So I guess we can assume that Busey will be playing the villain of the film.
