Full GRINDHOUSE DVD Finally Coming?

Fans of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s mashup love letter to the exploitation cinema of the 70s, Grindhouse, may have reason to rejoice. Director Edgar Wright tweeted yesterday –

Since Don’t is one of the faux trailers from the Grindhouse film, and I don’t think that they’ll be releasing the one minute, thirty second piece on its own DVD, I think we can safely assume that a full length, proper version of Grindhouse is in the works. Of course, there has been no official confirmation yet, and I’m assuming that there probably won’t be for some time.

Sure both of the feature films that made up GrindhousePlanet Terror and Death Proof – have already been released separately on DVD and blu-ray in editions that featured expanded edits, their double feature presentation, with all of the vintage theater bumpers and the fake trailers made by Wright, Rodriguez and Rob Zombie, has not been available.
