While we’re waiting for producer Roger Rodriquez’s Predators to hopefully breath new life into the franchise on July 9, Twentieth Century Fox will be helpfully re-releasing the original Predator on Blu-Ray in what they’re calling the “Ultimate Hunter Edition.”
The big feature of the release is a brand new digital restoration of the film, a preview of the upcoming Predators and a new documentary, “Evolution of the Species: Hunters of Extreme Perfection, ” which features interviews with Predators producer Robert Rodriguez, director Nimród Antal and original Predator producer John Davis. All the rest of the features are holdovers from the previous DVD release.
