The 3-D trend, as exclusive as it is popular, will survive until 2011 at the very least.
Comic Book Resources is reporting that a source at Warner Brothers has confirmed that when Green Lantern hits screens in 2011, it will hit them in fadish 3-D.
This could be the continuation of an ugly trend for 3-D comic book movies as it follows the announcement that the film that reboots of the Spider-Man franchise will also be shot in 3-D. Which means the trend will survive into 2012, which is when the Spider-Man revamp is set to hit theaters, not 2011 like I said earlier. I apologize for this error.
The article also states that test shooting is set to begin any day now, with actual filming to begin in New Orleans soon after.
