1. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Warner Brothers, 4,250+ Theaters, 153 Minutes, Rated PG): So, this one finally arrives. If you remember, this film was supposed to come out last November, but was bumped to this year. Warners had to release Twilight in its place. I understand that worked out quite well for them.
What can you really say about this film. Basically, the Harry Potter juggernaut cannot be tamed. You can wonder if the film will lose some steam now that the books are no longer active, but I think the impact will be minimal at best.
This is the third-to-last film in the franchise adapting the second-to-last book (the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be split up into two films. Lucky stiffs, you Potter fans). And, as each film has gotten progressively darker, you can expect more of the same here. Not to spoil anything, but there will be deaths, including one to a major member of the cast.
