Friday Flashback: THE TIMES OF HARVEY MILK

When director Gus Van Sant’s biopic Milk was released, many people noticed that the story hit many of the same points that Rob Epstein’s Oscar-winning documentary The Times Of Harvey Milk. I see it as a compliment to Van Sant’s film that he didn’t need to resort to many of the narrative tricks other biopics find themselves employing to tell their story. Harvey Milk’s inspirational and tragic story is just that compelling. See for yourself how compelling it is in today’s Friday Flashback.

The Times Of Harvey Milk is also available on DVD.
