Some new pictures from this summer’s DaVinci Code sequel, Angels And Demons, have shown up online. None of them are very spoilerific, unless you consider the fact that Tom Hanks’ hair looks a lot less goofy this time around.
I’ve not read any of the novels by Dan Brown that this emerging series is based on, and I’ve heard a wide range of reviews from friends on their quality. I was disappointed with the rather linear nature of DaVinci Code and how Hanks’ character pretty much was told by a character where to go next, where he met another character who told to him to another location where he met someone who told him… etc. Hopefully, this new installment, in which Hanks’ character races to stop a ploy by the Illuminati to destroy the Vatican, has a stronger screenplay. DaVinci Code director Ron Howard is back behind the camera while Hanks is joined by Ewan McGregor, Ayelet Zurer and Thure Lindhardt in front.
Angels & Demons is due in theaters on May 15.
