A FAMILY GUY Movie? Sweet!

Normally, we do not pay too much attention to the news that comes out of the summer press tour of the Television Critics Association because, after all, this is not TV Buff On Line. However, one bit of news has caught our attention.

It turns out that in an interview with TV Week, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane let slip that a movie based on the FOX animated series.

We do want to do it and we will do it at some point. It’s time. In the past six months we started talking seriously about it. My hope is that we’ll get it going within the next year. Just doing the show is a seven day a week process and finding the time to squeeze in a movie is… I don’t know how we’re going to do it, but we’ll figure it out. . . I have an idea what it’s gonna be. It’s definitely something you could not do on the show, which to me is the only reason to do a movie.

Considering that the show has mined numerous risque and outrageous topics for laughs, the mind boggles at what MacFarlane has in store that he thinks he can’t get away with on television.
