Variety is reporting that Christopher Eccleston, who played the 9th Doctor in the successful BBC franchise , Doctor Who, has joined the cast of the Hilary Swank vehicle, Amelia.
Eccleston is set to play Fred Noonan, navigator to Swank’s Amelia Earheart. Noonan was Earheart’s navigator on the 1937 flight where she went missing.
