Judd Apatow’s next directorial effort, in a stunning display of efficiency, has received three new actors, a title, and a start date, all in the same day.
Variety is reporting Eric Bana, Jason Schwartzman and Apatow favorite Jonah Hill have signed to join Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann in Funny People, a film which takes place in the world of stand up comedy.
Bana might be a weird choice to co-star in a comedy for American audiences only familiar with his dramatic work in movies such as Hulk, Munich and The Other Boleyn Girl. But he worked as a stand up comedian in his native Australia and appeared in the Australian sketch comedy show Full Frontal.
Production on Funny People is set to begin in September.
