It was a half century ago that a metor digorged a small gelatinous mass that would go on to terrorize a small town until Steve McQueen put a stop to it.
On July 11 to 13th, the Philadelphia suburb of Phoenixville, where a majority of the film The Blob was shot, will hold its annual festival celebrating its famous invader. A street fair, Tin Foil Hat, Scream and Short Film Competitions and, of course, several screenings of The Blob in the same theater used in the film highlight the activities planned.
