Philadelphia Film Festival Opens Tonight

The 17th Annual Philadelphia Film Festival kicks off this evening with a screening of the Sundance buzz film Young @ Heart.

The Philadelphia Film Festival is the official favorite film fest here at FilmBuffOnLine and this year’s lineup looks as good as ever. In addition to documentaries and feature films from around the world, the fest is teaming up with NoirCon to offer a few seldom seen film noir classics from the 1950s. Living just a short train ride outside of the city, I’ll be catching at least one film almost every day of the two weeks that the fest runs. Look for our first reviews to show up tomorrow or Saturday.

With festival coverage taking up much of my time, you may see a slight decrease in some of our regular news coverage. We will be trying to stay on top of the big stories though.

I hope everyone has a chance to see “Young at Heart”. I saw it last night at the film festival and it was very endearing, funny and entertaining. It comes out in wide release 4/18/08
