Sex comedies are familar territory to Seth Rogen (Knocked Up) and Elizabeth Banks (The 40 Year Old Virgin), so they should feel right at home in the title roles of Kevin Smith’s next film- Zack And Miri Make A Porno.
The pair will star as platonic friends who, to get out of some financial straights, decide to make a porn film
The announcement came in today’s USAToday, in which Smith explains that despite the racy title, his new comedy has plenty of heart-
It sounds deceptively straightforward with the title, but it’s a little more complicated than that. Everything I’ve done, on the surface, seems off-putting to some audience or other, but if you sit down and watch the flicks, you’ll see they’re sweet-natured and not angry or hateful or provocative for the sake of being provocative. [Zack And Miri] is very much a love story. Zack and Miri just want to make a good old-fashioned dirty movie.
The film is set to start production in Pittsburgh in January.
