Keanu Reeves has been linked to two vastly different projects that fans have been anticipating and in a Reddit AMA over the weekend to promote his forthcoming directorial debut The Man of Tai Chi, he offered updates on both.
Let’s start with the bad news first, the fate of the live action adaptation of the popular anime series Cowboy Bebop. Reeves broke the news fans that as of know the film is not going to be happening.
Cowboy Bebop does not look like it is going to happen with me in it. The script that was written was great and amazing, but it would cost like half a billion dollars to make it…I wished and hoped I would have done that project.
Things are looking a bit brighter for the much discussed third Bill And Ted film that would reteam him with Alex Winter in their iconic comedic roles.
We are working on trying to get ‘Bill & Ted 3.’ There’s a script and we are trying to put it together.
Granted that’s not much real new news on the Bill And Ted front, but the fact that writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are still working on getting the film greenlit is better than hearing that it too is a project that has died.
