Not surprisingly, M Night Shymalan’s live-action adaptation The Last Airbender and the latest installment in the Twilight film series Eclipse scored big in this morning’s announced Razzie Award nominations. Each film earned nine nominations, sharing nods in the categories for Worst Picture, Worst Ensemble Cast, Worst Screenplay and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off Or Sequel. Jackson Rathbone also received a nomination for Worst Supporting Actress for his work in both films. Additionally, The Last Airbender also earned a nomination in the newly created Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-Use Of 3D category.
The sequel to the big screen spin-off of the popular HBO series Sex & The City earned itself seven nominations including Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and all four leads sharing a nomination for Worst Actress.
